The 25cm oval banneton is a natural rattan proofing basket built for shaping sourdough batards, those longer, sandwich-friendly loaves with an even crumb. As your dough completes its final proof, the rattan gently wicks moisture from the surface so you get a drier skin, a better rise and the crunchiest of crusts, along with that classic spiral pattern bakers love.
Made from 100% natural, sustainable rattan with no harsh chemicals, it is a safer alternative to plastic and won't expose your dough to anything nasty. It comes with a fitted cloth liner for a smoother finish, ideal for wetter doughs or newer bakers.
